Existing Conditions Report
This technical report provides a general overview of the existing conditions and structural systems of West Village Housing Phases III & IV. Please note that the report presented is a draft-in-progress and will continue to be updated throughout the semester.
Building Codes, Specifications and Loads Report
This technical report takes the building codes and specifications, found in the existing conditions report, and uses them to determine the loads on the West Village Housing Phases III & IV north building. The loads include gravity, snow, wind, and seismic.
Typical Member Spot Checks for Gravity Loads & Alternate Systems Typical Bay Design Study
This technical report evaluates the existing gravity system of West Village Housing's north building. Using loads determined in the previous report, a typical floor bay and columns were analyzed. In addition, this report includes three alternate structural floor designs.
A powerpoint presentation summarizing the findings of the analysis and designs is also included.
Lateral System Analysis Study
This technical report takes the lateral wind and seismic forces, determined in previous reports, and applies them to the building using 2D and 3D structural softwares. Drift, story drift, and lateral member forces of West Village Housing's north building were extracted from the models and compared to the allowable limits.
